QLED stands for Quantum Light Emitting Diode. A display technology that uses phosphorescent crystals to improve the LED backlight on an LCD TV.
If you are looking to buy a TV, there are good chances you have come across QLED Term. The “Q” in the QLED stands for Quantum dots, which sounds high-tech . These quantum dots are (in theory) capable of giving off incredibly bright, vibrant and diverse colours – even more so than OLED.While this technology is appealing to hear , it is similar to traditional LED TVs, with some advantages.

QLED TV
Most LED TVs comes with an IPS panel, but when looking for gaming monitors, you may also come across VA panels.
VA panels offer greater levels are contrast but have poor viewing angles.
IPS have richer colours and better viewing angles but often come at a price.
QLED still produces light the same way as a regular LED TV ,by using a backlight made up of hundreds (or thousands for better image) of LEDs, with that backlit layer sitting behind an LCD panel layer.
The backlight shines through the LCD panel, which in turn shapes that light into the images that you see on the screen. It’s these LEDs that give LED TV (or QLED TV) it’s name.
QLED TV displays have a potentially brighter picture than OLED, are mostly cheaper, and there is no risk of burn-in – marks that can be left on the screen of OLED TV.

A next generation LED screen that offers better contrast, color, and brightness than traditional LED screens.
Mini-LEDs are tiny when compared to regular LEDs. This refers that a QLED TV that could normally accommodate hundreds of LEDs can now accommodate thousands of Mini-LEDs in screen.
Is Mini LED better than OLED?
NO,Although Mini LEDs have better improvements and advantage over the old LED tech, it does not provide all features provided by OLED.
